I've been away from LJ for a while. Mostly school and general life concerns. You don't care so I'll stop there.

I love art. A photo I took (unmanipulated) was selected to go on the AP Art poster for this coming year, out of something like 90,000 pieces. I got a 5 on my portfolio which is the highest score possible.

Sometimes I come here and the awesome stuff I see by other people inspires me, gives me ideas, and helps me figure out how to do certain photoshop stuff. Other times, though...

We took my dog to the park once. It's a pretty big park, where you can bike, rollerblade, even ride on horseback. Someone had brought their horse. When my dog saw it, she thought it was, like, the biggest dog in the entire world. She stopped right where she was and got extremely flat. She was basically saying "Okay, screw it, I give up. I might as well lie down and die right here."

Sometimes, when I sign on to DeviantArt and look at the new pieces, I feel like I'm looking at the biggest dog ever.

Request to readers:
I am extremely interested in learning more about "grunge" techniques. I've been using photoshop for over 3 years, but i've never taken a real class in it and my knowledge of it is relatively basic. If anyone has any basic grunge tips or techniques with which they can hook me the hell up, I'd greatly appreciate it.

So I can go to [link] but I can't go to www.deviantart.com. Got extremely pissed off. Broke stuff. Came home to download gigs worth of drug-making instructions and midget porn, just to spite the censors.

Set up this account tonight and uploaded what pictures I have on my home PC. Still figuring out how the site works, and still extremely impressed by some of the art I'm finding on here. Slightly perturbed by my lack of a chin in my little icon thing (damn 50x50 restriction). Enthused by the comments people have left.
